Bayberry House Bed & Breakfast

Bayberry House is a period property of distinction, extensively and beautifully renovated to include all the 21st century comforts. Built in 1886 by Dr. Blossom, a prominent local physician for over forty years, it retains many features of the high Victorian era. The inn has been recognized each of the last nine years by Trip Advisor, with Certificates of Excellence and Travelers' Choice Awards recognizing Bayberry House among the premier bed and breakfasts in the United States.

Each of the four guest rooms and two suites are individually furnished and decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques, artwork depicting regional locales, and modern amenities. The Crimson, Teal, and Sage rooms feature queen-sized beds, while the Lilac room contains two twin-sized extra long (80 inches!) SleepNumber beds.   All rooms have private en-suite facilities, free WIFI, air-conditioning/independent climate control, gas fireplaces, HDTV with free HBO and Cinemax bundles, programmable safes, and mini-refrigerators. Some rooms also feature Sleep Number mattresses.

In addition to the amenities above, the lovely Wedgewood and Seaglass Suites include both a bedroom and a sitting room furnished with pull-out couches that can be used to provide additional accommodation.

A computer workstation with printer and internet access is also available for guest use.

A three course, served gourmet breakfast is presented to guests each morning, selected from a variety of nutritious and delicious menus. Dietary restrictions, such as gluten allergies, lactose intolerance, and reduced sugar, are readily accommodated with scrumptious substitutions. Complimentary light snacks, as well as coffee, tea, and ice water, are available throughout the day in the dining room.

There is ample parking at Bayberry House where guests may leave their cars to explore the harbor and the town center, both just a short stroll away.
