Boothbay Harbor: Perfectly Maine! Perfect for Groups!

Our picturesque harbor is often called the boating capital of Maine and on any given day visitors will experience spectacular views of Burnt Island Lighthouse, our iconic footbridge and boats of all varieties and sizes.

Our waterfront downtown is dotted with shops and galleries offering your passengers the chance to bring home a piece of Maine.

Boothbay Harbor is the perfect town for a scatter lunch. With restaurant choices offering seafood specialties to casual sandwiches, there is something for everyone aboard your coach. Sticking together is fine with us too. From oceanfront dining rooms to stagefront seating at the Carousel Dinner Theater (oh yes, did you know the 1956 movie Carousel was filmed here!) we’ll delight all their senses.

Area attractions specialize in working with the tour industry including Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay Railway Village, Maine State Aquarium, Carousel Dinner Theater, Cabbage Island Clam Bakes, Cap’n Fish’s Scenic Boat Trips, Balmy Days Cruises, Hardy Boat Cruises and the Schooner Eastwind.

Our location, in the heart of Maine’s Midcoast, is perfect for hub and spoke itineraries featuring day trips to Portland and Freeport to the South and Rockland to Bar Harbor to the North. Our many group-friendly hotels roll out the red carpet for buses.

The Town of Boothbay Harbor has a designated pick-up and drop-off location just for coaches. It’s located directly across from the Town’s Whale Park and public restrooms on Lower Commercial Street, in front of the Red Cup coffeehouse. For driving directions on your GPS use 22 Commercial Street, Boothbay Harbor, ME, 04538.

Parking for coaches is available in the Boothbay Harbor Town lot located in front of the Town’s Municipal Offices for $20 per day. Free coach parking is available behind the Boothbay Region High School. The close by Meadow Mall offers a courtesy trolley and can bring your driver downtown or there is a restaurant available at the Mall for his or her convenience.
